Xianbo Liu received his B.E. (Aircraft Manufacturing) from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, and Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. Currently, he is an associate professor at the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include nonlinear dynamics, vibrations, and control. His recent efforts have focused on data-driven nonlinear dynamics of complex systems such as deep drilling systems for oil & gas exploration and flexible robotic systems.
