Faculty

Ke CHEN

Title:Professor
Office:Room 401, Material Building F

Introduction

The current research of Prof. Ke Chen’s group is related to two aspects. One is the interfacial bonding mechanism between metal and polymer; The other is solid state joining of dissimilar metals and associated interfacial phase transformations. For the purpose of improving both mechanical and functional properties of dissimilar joints, novel joining methods have been developed for the applications in emerging frontiers.

He has published >60 journal/proceeding articles, filed 15 patent applications (11 granted), and delivered 18 Keynote/Invited academic conference presentations. He is now serving as Key Reader for Metallurgical and Materials Transactions and Editor for High Temperature Materials and Processes. He is currently also serving as Deputy Director of International Affairs Division, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2023, he was enlisted in National Youth Talent Plan.
